Steel Siding:
Steel siding is a heavy metal siding that offers attractive, timeless designs with a lifetime of
paint free savings. It withstands severe temperature changes, it won't rust, rot, peel, chip or
blister and it cuts energy costs. It is available in 4" or 8" profiles or a board and batten profile
and is a .029 gauge thickness. It is also available in darker colors.
Vinyl Siding:
Made of Polyvinyl Chloride, Vinyl siding requires minimal maintenance, aside from an
occasional washing to keep it clean. Because vinyl siding will expand and shrink with the
weather proper installation is important to avoid twisting when the siding expands, or gaps
when the siding shrinks. It is available in .038 to .050 thicknesses and the durability is based
on the thickness of the siding; thicker is better. Several profiles are available.
